Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Around 2,000 United States Roles – News
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to start mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August valued at $8.4bn.
More overseas workforce reductions are expected, as the firm aiming to reveal full details via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Earlier reports stated that Paramount planned to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.
As of December 2024, Paramount retained about 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not provided a response regarding the report.
